Untraditional Ink Painting

The painting is a combination of Chinese ink washes and a moderate application of calligraphy. The challenge was to very the strokes and washes. I feel comfortable with the organic qualities of the ink and its richness. An expert could probably discuss the chemistry of the ink but I just know it feels rich. I enjoy the storytelling with ink and paper.... When I paint with ink, it feels as though we have a connection with our past. The red seal is always the period on the creative sentence...
