Original Painting Black Rose
The challenge was to create transparency with ink. Hmm, I think it worked . . . I tried to replicate a sense of intimacy within the frame. I always find it amazing what you can do with soot and water.
Ancient Chinese calligraphers and present day artists’s often place a seal (pictographs/inscriptions)with their name or phrase on a painting. This often ehances the design of the art work. The meaning of the seal in this ink and watercolor painting represents harmony.Latest auction
